Oude Kerk

"The Oude Kerk ("old church") is Amsterdam’s oldest parish church, consecrated in 1306 by the bishop of Utrecht. It stands in De Wallen, now Amsterdam's main red-light district. The square surrounding the church is the Oudekerksplein."

Art meets Nature.
The sweet and snug shape of Niemeyer's building is in perfect armony between the sky and the water, whose little ruffling reflect its presence. The encounter of the two elements (the liquid one and the solid one)creates a balance in which, in the distance, the horizon open up.
